Spiece Run N Slam class of 2012

Coming into Spiece Run N Slam I knew there were going to be a load of talent of the class 2012, some playing 15u some playing 17u! Here are the top 15 players of the tournment!

1. Justin Anderson, 6'5, G Boo Williams team: Possibly the nation’s top freshman, Anderson played sparingly for Boo Williams 17U team. In the limited minutes that he did play though, it was easy to see why he already has so much acclaim. Anderson is every bit of 6-5 (perhaps even 6-6) with very long arms and downright freakish athleticism. The potential is there for him to be an outstanding defender, as seen by a few of his jaw dropping blocks. The youngster forced things a bit on the offensive end, but the potential that Justin offers long term was clearly evident.

2. Chris Jones 6'0 Combo Guard, Terry Porter Elite: This kid is clearly one of the players to watch for the class of 2012, putting up big numbers with the ease, everyone who played chris had a problem guarding him teams tried double-teaming him, trying to keep him from the ball, his amazing ball handling skills causes him to get out the double teams, Chris can get to the basket anytime he feel like it in can finish very well and also can shoot the three very well.

3. D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera 6'3 Combo Guard, Indiana Elite: A match up nightmare for his peers, smith is so bigger and stronger than his peers scoring comes easy. He initiates body contact which allows him to score over taller shot blockers. Smith has a nice handle with a nice outside jumpshot. Top 5 and the nation!

4. Elijah Macon 6'8 F, All Ohio Red : He’s long, athletic, and very active around the rim and was one of the key reasons of the All Ohio Red’s championship run

5. Obij Aget is a 6-11 C, Indiana Elite : From the Sudan who completely changes the game with his long arms, fluid movement, and activity on the glass.

6. Tanner Williams-Orion 6'5 G/F, Martin BrothersSelect

7. J.P. Tokoto. 6'5 G/F, Wis.Playground Warriors

8. DeJuan Marrero 6'4 F, Spiece Indy Heat

9. CJ Gettys 6'9 C, Ohio Gators

10. Peter Jurkin 6'11 C, Indiana Elite

11. Junior Lomomba 6'4 Combo Guard, Wisconsin Force/Gators Elite

12. Richard Parker 5'11 PG, Chicago Stars

13. Tommy White 6'0 PG, Team Indiana

14. Hanner Perea 6'8 F, Indiana Elite

Top 15 2012 players at The King James Classic

1. Junior Lomomba 6'4 Combo Guard, Wisconsin Force/Gators Elite: One of the nations top prospects. Even though playing up Junior showed that he would have toruture his peers while playing against people 2 grades higher than him. They had a problem guarding him dunks with power, Junior has nice defense.

2. Matt Murphy 6'8 C, Alexandria Kings: Look like a monster out there to his peers dominating on the offensive/defenseive end, a big man who can step out in shoot the 3.

3. Chris Jones 6'0 Combo Guard, Terry Porter Elite: Overall the best player in the tournment! Was probably the best offensive scorer during the whole tournment a very nice quick guard, very explosive to the basket with a nice outside range, could have been no. 1 on this list if his team could have made it to Sunday.

4. Melvin Johnson 5'10 G, New York Gauchos: One of the best outside shooters in the tournment was a key reason of winning the gold at the King James Classic.

Perry Ellis

He stands at 6-8, He goes to Wichita Heights High School, 2009 Gatorade Player of the Year in Kansas, Averaged 19.2 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists, Named MVP of State Championship game (9 points, 20 rebounds in 6A win! Who is he? Perry Ellis his name need to be heard! Did I mention he's a freshmen! From Board to board I don't know who had a better freshmen year then him these number are unheard from especially as a freshmen averaging an double-double. Oh don't think he's just an nice post-up player this kid is skilled enough to play the 3, are you kidding me? Most kids his age just think that since there 6'7 or 6'8 they think they gone grow to be 6'10 or 7'0 realizing if they dont grow to be 6'10 or 7'0 when they get to college they are going to be a 3. Perry Ellis is prepared for that with nice handles but they are still in developmental stage, he also can shoot the 3. Evey college that a kid dreams to play for is knocking at his door, from North Carolina to Memphis. Perry Ellis has NBA potential.
